SOME HISTORY
EARLY
70's... JIM WIGGINS co-hosted a Chicago Style Comedy Club with his
friends
Tom Dreesen, Judy Tenuta, Emo Phillips et al. Many comedy careers
were spawned during those years.
LATE 70's... JIM WIGGINS bought and
remodeled an old Hollywood whorehouse
into a rooming house for the country's comics who were massing to L.A.'s
infamous Comedy Store and Improv. The list of names who, like Wiggins, wrote
comedy for television during the day and perfected their routines at night, is
as long as it is interesting.
Early 80's... JIM WIGGINS walked
with his wife and five kids, from Hollywood to
the White House in Washington, D.C. to have a chat with President Ronald Reagan,
calling their trek, "Walkin' Proud, Talkin' Loud for America". A
reverse journey is
planned, followed by a book of essays.
LATE
80's... JIM WIGGINS invested in Palatine, Illinois' famous "Durty
Nellies",
a legendary comedy and music hall, hosting many of his fellow comedians in
this outrageous mental gymnasium. Wiggins also hosted an award winning
cable TV show called, "The Silliest Show in the Suburbs".
EARLY
90's... JIM WIGGINS worked consistently "on the road" which
took him
from Alaska and the cold Canadas to Miami and the warm Florida sands, from
New York to San Diego and every large and small stage in between. He also had
a six month run in Cozumel, Mexicos' first and only comedy club, entertaining
and performing, even doing a show during the horror of Hurricane
Roxanne.
The show, as they say, goes on...and on...and on.
THIS CENTURY... JIM
WIGGINS continues to travel the country performing his
delightful one man show entitled...
"SILLY STUFF & SAD STORIES, REFLECTIONS OF A 60'S RELIC".
He performs in Las Vegas and comedy stages in clubs, colleges and
corporate
conventions nationwide. The show goes on.
